Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, home of the Miami Dolphins and host to five Super Bowls, two World Series and four BCS National Championships, is getting a new roof that resembles the canopy style roofs common in European soccer stadiums.

The new roof is part of planned renovations to the 27-year-old stadium known previously known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Park, Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Dolphin Stadium and Land Shark Stadium. The renovations received a green light by Miami-Dade County officials on Tuesday and could cost as much as $350 million.
